From June 2026, Phuket International is rolling out automated passport lanes for foreign visitors with biometric passports and for holders of Long-Term Residence visas. For our buyers — many of whom fly in for viewings and again to close — the change cuts a real bottleneck out of the trip.
Who can use the new lanes
Initial eligibility covers passport holders from most G7 and EU countries with biometric chips, Long-Term Residence (LTR) visa holders, and registered Thai Privilege members. Plans to extend to additional countries are expected through 2026.
Why it matters for a Phuket buyer
Time in queue used to be one of the small irritations of buying remotely — long-haul flight, then 40–60 minutes at immigration after midnight. With automated lanes, most of our recent buyers have cleared in under five minutes. It's a quiet upgrade, but it tilts the experience of owning at distance the right way.
