How we handle your information.

This policy explains what Ocean WorldWide Company Limited — trading as Ocean Worldwide Real Estate — does with the personal information you give us through this website. It applies to oceanwwp.com and to the enquiries that reach us from it. We are the data controller for that information, and our registered office is at 78 Lagoon Road, Cherngtalay, Thalang, Phuket 83110, Thailand.

What we collect

We only collect what you hand over. There is no account to create and nothing on this site asks you to register.

• What you type into an enquiry, contact or valuation form: your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number where you give one, and the message itself.
• The property the enquiry came from — its reference, title and page address — so the agent who replies knows what you were looking at.
• For a valuation request, what you tell us about the property you want to sell: its location, type, size and condition.
• Your email address alone, if you subscribe to the journal.
• Technical information your browser sends on any visit: IP address, device and browser type, the pages you open and the site or advert that sent you. Some of this arrives through cookies, which have their own page.

We do not ask for identity documents, bank details or proof of funds through this website. If a purchase reaches the stage where a lawyer or the Land Office needs those, they are handled separately and are not collected here.

What we use it for

• Answering you. An enquiry is passed to one of our agents, who replies by email, phone or WhatsApp.
• Sending you properties that match what you described, while you are looking.
• Arranging and following up viewings, and handling the sale or the valuation you asked for.
• Keeping our own records of who we have dealt with and what was agreed, including for tax and anti-money-laundering obligations.
• Understanding which adverts and pages bring us enquiries, so we spend less on the ones that do not.

We do not sell your information, and we do not rent or trade our contact list. Property marketing emails are ours; you can stop them at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email or by replying to ask.

Automated first contact

Be aware of one thing that is not obvious. When you leave a phone number, our system may send you a WhatsApp message and place an automated introduction call within minutes of your enquiry, before a person picks it up. The call is made by an AI voice assistant, it says so, and it exists to find out what you are looking for and put you with the right agent. Calls and messages may be recorded and transcribed so the agent can read them. If you would rather not be contacted that way, say so on the call or in reply, or leave the phone field empty and we will only use email.

Our legal grounds

Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act governs what we do, and for buyers in Europe the GDPR does too. We rely on your consent when you send an enquiry or subscribe, on our legitimate interest in running an estate agency and answering the people who approach it, on the steps necessary to perform a contract once you instruct us, and on legal obligation where Thai law requires us to keep records.

Who else sees it

Your information is seen by our own agents and administrators, and by the suppliers who run the systems we work in:

• Our hosting and database providers, which store the site and the enquiry records.
• Our email provider, which sends our replies, confirmations and journal emails.
• Our telephony and WhatsApp providers, which carry calls and messages.
• The AI providers that draft replies and run the introduction call described above.
• Google, through the Google Ads tag described on the cookies page.

These suppliers act on our instructions and are not allowed to use your information for their own purposes. Some of them are outside Thailand, so your information is transferred abroad; where that happens we use providers who commit to appropriate safeguards. Beyond them, we share your details only with a lawyer, developer or property owner where that is the enquiry you asked us to pursue, or where the law requires it.

Partner introductions outside Phuket

We sell in Phuket and Phang Nga. If you are looking somewhere we do not operate, we may offer to introduce you to a broker who works there. That introduction only happens if you ask for it: we pass on your name, your contact details and what you are looking for, and we tell you who we are passing them to before we do it.

How long we keep it

Enquiry records are kept while we are dealing with you and for a reasonable period afterwards, because buyers often come back to us years later. Where a purchase or a sale completes, we keep the file as long as Thai tax and anti-money-laundering rules require. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. If you ask us to delete your information and nothing obliges us to keep it, we do.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to how we use it, withdraw consent for marketing, or ask for it in a portable form. Ask at info@oceanwwp.com and we will answer within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with the answer you can complain to Thailand's Personal Data Protection Committee, or to the data protection authority in your own country if you are in Europe.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, enquiry records sit behind individual staff logins, and access is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfect, and we will tell you and the regulator if a breach affects you.

Children

This site is for adults buying and selling property. We do not knowingly collect information about anyone under 20. If you believe a child has sent us something, tell us and we will remove it.

Changes

When this policy changes we update the date at the top of the page. Material changes to how we use your information will be flagged on the site.
